The most important thing we bring to client engagements is the experience of our professionals, which can only be developed over years of working on, and leading, M&A programmes. There is no substitute for this, and that's why we only deliver experienced M&A professionals to each and every engagement.
However, underpinning all of our training and programmes is our M&A Framework. Built on decades of collective experience by our Partners and Associates, this provides a (nearly) jargon-free set of processes and tools to understand, plan and manage M&A programmes. Everything within the M&A Framework is built around the Transaction Lifecycle, which is split into 7 phases:
The Framework and the phases are appropriate to all types of acquisition, but the level of programme structure and the relative chronology of the 7 phases will depend upon the contextual factors of the deal.
Supporting each phase are numerous tools and templates, designed for various situations and at varying levels of complexity, to make planning and delivering the programme as simple and efficient as possible. Having these as a starting point can save you a great deal of time when you and your teams have little of it.
